Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to inspection, power-line safety, theory and site hazards involved in crane operation. Trainees will acquire information about load charts, rigging and hardware applications. Quizzes and direct feedback during the course would assist people training solidify their knowledge.
The theory topics comprise: Introduction to crane certification process; safety fundamentals for crane operators; rigging knowledge; crane operation knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane rigging charts; crane pre-trip inspections & set-up, and crane service and maintenance.
Practical Programs
The practical training portion of the crane training school emphasizes hands-on learning. This section of the course focuses on the identification and terminology of crane components. Trainees will have the opportunity to practice skills needed for crane operating, signaling and rigging.
Practical course topics: Learn crane terminology; identify crane functions and components; identify rigging and wire ropes; use remote control; pre-use inspection on crane; identify regulations and documents for wire rope and rigging; perform rigging methods; use radio and hand signals; and carry out correct lifting and lowering of loads.
