Crane Operator Classes Mississauga - For the operators and the supervisors, new and current, the crane operator training course is suitable for all. Course content deals with relevant federal, provincial and state safety regulations. The first component of training involves complete in-class instruction and exam. Following that is a hands-on customized session with practical instruction and evaluation.

The content of the course applies to all categories and types of overhead lifting crane machinery. The instruction would particularly focus on all aspects of crane operation that could be done at the trainee's workplace. Upon completion of the course, people training would learn how to operate particular overhead lifting equipment, attachments and related parts in a safe and efficient manner.

The operator course's objective is to first identify and potentially dangerous operator habits which may develop while an individual operates an overhead crane. Costly damage to products and equipment could be avoided with proper practices. Training reduces the likelihood of a workplace incident or injury taking place.

The length of the course is eight hours of classroom instruction followed by a few hours of customized, on-site, hands-on training. Participants are graded on their knowledge of training material via written testing and an assessment of their practical knowledge. The minimum acceptable score is eighty percent.

The in-class session, the trainee will learn regarding legislation and guidelines, causes of occurrences and damages, internal responsibility, danger awareness, capacity ratings/load weight calculations, basic equipment and design principles, pre-shift equipment inspections, safe hoisting/operating techniques, types of hardware, equipment applications/rigging, hitches and angles, operator/pedestrian safety, flipping/turning loads safely, hand signals for slingers and operators.

The practical training and evaluation part of the course should be pre-scheduled. This customized part of the training would be held at the trainees' facility. The duration of this practical training part is one to two hours. The instructor would train two operators at a time on skills like for example safe operation, planning the lift and correct rigging practices.

Upon completion of the practical operating instruction and evaluation and the in-class instruction, the trainee would write an exam. Signed safety rules will be required from every participant. Successful trainees would be provided with individual wallet certificates. The company would be given a framed wall certificate.
